RAY OF HOPE

RAY OF HOPE

Ankhee Choudhury

Did we listen when nature tried to warn ?
Easily neglected the forthcoming storm !
Did we ever stop doing the wrong ?

Maybe its time we pay for the guilt…
The Earth is returning all the rubbish, dirt and filth !

Don’t we see~ Nature’s healing !
Replenishing itself with all that we were stealing !
This is great.. as we regain the valuables we’ve lost..
But, do we understand millions of lives are the cost ?!

Once again nature proves to be just –
The destroyers face the blow and thrust !

Even if little, there is time,
We need to stop distinguishing between what’s yours and mine !

THERE IS A RAY OF HOPE AT THE TIME OF DESPAIR..
LET’S STAND TOGETHER BECAUSE WE CARE !

This poem by Ankhee has been put up in front of the Army isolation camp tents for Covid-19 in Rajasthan, meant for the airlifted Indians from Rome.
